An Cu is a plain commune along O Loan lagoon of Tuy An district, with a total natural area of 2.089,38 ha, with  a total with a population of 3,268 households, with 10.365 people including 5 villages ( Phu Tan 1, Phu Tan 2, Hoa Thanh, Tan Long and Phuoc Luong village). 
There are 03 schools including: Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary school, An Cu Primary school and An Cu Kindergarten.
- There are 8 places of worships including:
+ 06 pagodas: Phuoc Luong Pagoda, Linh Hoi pagoda, An Cu pagoda,Hoa Nghiem, Quy Son, Phuoc Dong Pagoda
+ 01 Tan Long Buddhist Temple.
+ 01 Dong Chay church.
- In the commune, there is a medical station to take care of people’s health, 01 Agriculture  Cooperative, O Loan lagoon as a national scenic spot, 01 hictoritalrelic recognized at the provincial level and “ Phu Tan 1 sedge mat weaving village ”
